SAMUEL OGBOGU
Samuel Ogbogu founded the Law Offices of Samuel Ogbogu in 1992. Samuel has been practicing law in the State of California since 1991 and has obtained multi-million dollar settlements and judgments for his clients. Samuel obtained a bachelor of law degree from Imo State University School of Law, Nigeria in 1987. He became a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1988, a certification that was conferred by the Nigerian Counsel of Legal Education. After a brief legal practice in Nigeria, he relocated to Southern California in the USA. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1991, to the United States District Court in 1992, and to the U.S. District Court of Appeals and U.S. Court of Appeals 9th Circuit.
Samuel Ogbogu is a member of Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles (CAALA) and a former President and member of the Board of Trustees of the Nigerian American Lawyers Association (NALA).
Samuel Ogbogu has obtained recovery in landmark cases including a $6.5M wrongful death confidential settlement; $3.1 million settlement for a minor client who had mild traumatic brain injury following a T-bone automobile collision; $1.5 million verdict in a civil rights wrongful death case which was upheld by the Court of Appeals; $1 million settlement in an electrocution case against an apartment complex; $1 million settlement in a medical malpractice case; $975,000 settlement in a premises liability case against an apartment complex after a minor fell from a fire escape and sustained injuries; $650,000 settlement in a rear-end collision resulting in injuries to a minor; a $550,000 settlement in a disputed automobile vs. automobile collision case; and $400,000 settlement in a Federal Tort Claim against the Veteran’s Administration to list a few.
